MEAT–IN PTOLEMAIDA — World Meat, Butchery & BBQ Championship

📍 Ptolemaida, Western Macedonia, Greece
FROM THE RAW MATERIAL TO THE KNIFE. FROM THE KNIFE TO THE FIRE. Every nation has its own gastronomic story. And deep within the roots of almost every culture, three elements have followed humanity through the centuries: The raw material. The knife. The fire. Long before gastronomy entered modern kitchens, embraced technology and advanced equipment, people first had to know and understand the raw material. To respect it. To learn its structure. To understand every part of it. To develop methods of cutting, butchering and making full use of it. This is how the art of butchery and meat craftsmanship was born and evolved. An art that goes far beyond the use of a knife. It is knowledge. It is precision. It is technique. It is respect and responsible use of the raw material. It is creation. From the traditional cuts of different cultures to modern butchery techniques, and from meat preparations rooted in heritage to contemporary creative approaches, meat tells an important part of the story of nations and their people. And then comes fire. Humanity's oldest culinary language. Wood. Charcoal. Smoke. Flame. From the Greek spit-roasting tradition and the fire techniques of the Balkans to the great fires of Africa, the culinary traditions of Asia, the techniques of the Mediterranean and the legendary BBQ pits of the Americas, every culture has learned to speak its own language through fire. What we now call BBQ and Fire Cooking is not simply a modern cooking trend. It is a true culinary time machine. It takes us deep into the roots of every country. Into the techniques of its ancestors. Its ingredients. Its aromas, flavours and memories. Because traditional gastronomy was not created in a single day. It was cut. Butchered. Crafted. Smoked. Cooked over fire. And passed from generation to generation. This is the philosophy of MEAT–IN PTOLEMAIDA. A new international competitive institution created to unite the art of meat, professional butchery, the precision of cutting and meat preparation, meat craftsmanship, BBQ, live-fire cooking and culinary creativity. A competition where meat professionals do not come simply to make cuts. They come to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the raw material. Butchers and meat craftsmen do not come simply to present a product. They come to transform technique, tradition and creativity into culinary expression. Chefs, pitmasters and masters of fire do not come simply to cook. They come to tell the story and express the gastronomic culture of their homeland through fire. Greek and international guests. Butchers. Meat craftsmen. Chefs. Pitmasters. Creators. People who understand that behind every great flavour comes first knowledge and respect for the raw material. And behind every fire, there is a story. NOW, THE INVITATION IS OPEN. If you are a meat professional and you know that behind every precise cut lies knowledge, accuracy and technique… If you are a butcher or meat craftsman capable of transforming raw material into creation… If you create meat preparations and products that bring together tradition, knowledge and a contemporary vision… If you are a chef who believes that true gastronomy begins with a deep understanding of the raw material… If you are a pitmaster, grill master or master of fire, and for you flame is not simply a cooking method but knowledge, instinct and culture… Then this event was created for you too. MEAT–IN PTOLEMAIDA invites professionals, creators and teams from Greece and around the world to take on the challenge. To showcase their technique. To test their knowledge. To reveal their creativity. To bring the gastronomic identity of their homeland to the international stage. We are not simply looking for competitors. We are looking for people who have dedicated time to understanding meat. People who respect the knife. People who understand fire. People who have something to create — and a story to tell. Meat professionals and butchers. Meat craftsmen and cutting & butchery specialists. Creators of meat preparations and meat products. Chefs and culinary professionals. Pitmasters, grill masters and BBQ teams. Professional and international teams. The raw material is waiting for you. The knife will test your precision. The fire will test your knowledge. And your creation may write its own story. ARE YOU READY TO TAKE PART? MEAT–IN PTOLEMAIDA — WORLD MEAT, BUTCHERY & BBQ CHAMPIONSHIP MEAT HAS ITS OWN ART. THE KNIFE HAS ITS OWN PRECISION. FIRE HAS ITS OWN STORY. AND NOW, THEY ALL MEET WITHIN ONE INSTITUTION. PTOLEMAIDA, GREECE Founded & Organized by Tastynation Global ONE WORLD • ONE KITCHEN • ONE FAMILY

Carthage International Chef's Cup — Greece on the Podium

📍 Tunis, Tunisia
Greece on the Podium of the winners of the Carthage International Chef's Cup Tunisia With great emotion and national pride, Greece achieved a place among the leading countries of the Carthage International Chef's Cup, one of the most demanding international professional gastronomy competitions, where technical excellence, creativity and cultural identity meet at the highest level. Among extremely strong participations and renowned professionals from France, Italy, Tunisia, Greece and other countries with deep gastronomic tradition, the Greek delegation managed to achieve Third Place, with a minimal difference in points from the first two winners, raising the Greek flag on the podium of distinctions. The dish that represented Greece was entitled "Mediterranean Dialogue", a creation of Executive Chef and team trainer Stelios Digas, inspired by the shared culinary heritage of the peoples of the Mediterranean. It is a composition that tells a story of cultures. A culinary journey that begins from the Greek islands and reaches the coasts of Tunisia, uniting two peoples through their flavors, aromas and traditions. At the heart of the dish is the historic Greek Savoro, a traditional technique of the Ionian Islands, where vinegar, garlic and aromatic herbs compose a unique flavor character. A technique that was born as a means of preserving catches and evolved into an integral part of the Greek gastronomic identity. The mullet, one of the most characteristic fish of the Greek seas, is carefully opened from the back and filled with aromatic bulgur inspired by Tunisian cuisine, paying tribute to the country that hosted the event. The sweetness of the petimezi, the lively freshness of the orange and the gentle aroma of the Chios mastic compose a harmonious gastronomic dialogue. A dialogue that speaks not with words, but with flavors, highlighting that the Mediterranean is not just a sea that separates peoples, but a bridge that unites them. The execution of the dish was undertaken by the contestant Magdalene Tsitsinoudi, who worked with absolute dedication, professionalism and fighting spirit. Facing opponents who are among the big names of the international culinary scene, she managed to present a result worthy of the high expectations and lead Greece to the conquest of Third Place. The Greek team was completed by Alexandra Agrafioti, who, as the team's escort and support person, successfully managed every organizational and technical challenge. In difficult and demanding conditions where the available equipment and materials had to be in perfect condition, she ensured that every necessary detail was covered in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the Greek mission. Warm congratulations are due to the entire Tastynation Global team, which operated in a spirit of cooperation, mutual respect and absolute professional consistency. Through this collective effort, it was proven that when knowledge, experience and a shared vision come together, they can lead gastronomy to new international heights and dynamically promote Greek cuisine on the international stage. Special mention also deserves the fact that Executive Chef Stelios Digas, as the official international judge of the competition, as well as Alexandra Agrafioti, participated in the task of evaluating complex and highly technically difficult competition dishes, serving the institution with professionalism and impartiality. This distinction is not only a competitive success. It is further proof that Greek gastronomy continues to travel, inspire and distinguish itself. It is a reminder that the flavors of Greece can converse equally with the greatest culinary traditions of the world and convey the message of creation, cooperation and cultural unity. Because when tradition meets passion and knowledge meets creativity, gastronomy becomes a global language. And in this language, Greece continues to have a strong and distinct voice.

Christmas Around the World — A Tasty Journey

📍 Gorna Oryahovitsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria
On December 20–21, 2025, Gorna Oryahovica dressed itself in its brightest festive spirit and became a harbor of cultures, aromas, and human stories. A Christmas journey unfolded before its eyes — from romantic France to distant United States, from snowy Russia to sunny Italy, from Turkey to Greece. Eleven countries, eleven culinary stories, one shared heartbeat. Amid the deep cold of winter, another kind of warmth was ignited: the warmth of the world's heart. Flavors became a language of communication, aromas turned into memories, and smiles became proof that when people gather around one table, there are no borders. "Christmas Around the World – A Tasty Journey" was not simply an event. It was a life experience for everyone who attended. A colorful mosaic of cultures, where every dish carried tradition, every recipe told a story, and every moment became a memory that will remain alive for years to come. During this celebration, Gorna Oryahovica in Bulgaria did not simply host the world — it embraced it. And it reminded us that Christmas, wherever it is celebrated, always carries the same essence: love, sharing, and human warmth. The two-day celebration of Christmas flavors from around the world was organized by the Municipality of Gorna Oryahovica and Tastynation Global, with the participation of students from the "Prof. Asev Zlatarov" Food Technology High School in Gorna Oryahovica.
